Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems for government networks
- Lead incident response teams during security breaches and cyberattacks
- Develop cybersecurity policies compliant with federal regulations (NIST, FISMA)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and intelligence agencies on threat intelligence
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training
- Prepare comprehensive security reports for senior leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in enterprise cybersecurity or government IT security
- CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expert knowledge of NIST cybersecurity framework and FISMA compliance
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Active government security clearance (or ability to obtain Top Secret)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
