Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-channel communication strategies for exhibitions, artist residencies, and cultural programs
- Manage media relations with key publications, influencers, and cultural institutions
- Create compelling content across digital platforms including social media, newsletters, and press releases
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and optimize strategies based on audience insights
- Oversee crisis communications and maintain brand reputation during high-profile projects
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align creative teams with communication objectives
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in arts/media communications with proven campaign success
- Portfolio demonstrating excellence in content creation and media strategy
- Expertise in digital analytics tools (Google Analytics, Sprout Social, etc.)
- Strong network of media contacts in NYC cultural and arts sectors
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to adapt tone for diverse audiences
- Experience managing budgets for communications initiatives
- Deep understanding of DEI principles in cultural communications
