Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust, scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS or Azure within a secure government-compliant environment.
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premises applications to modern cloud-native architectures.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Implement and maintain rigorous security protocols, ensuring compliance with FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agency teams to optimize system performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning to ensure high availability of critical public services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Deep proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance requirements within the public sector.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance as required by the position.
