Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure government environments.
- Lead migration strategies for legacy on-premises applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Implement robust security, compliance, and auditing protocols in alignment with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agency teams to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Manage incident response protocols and ensure high uptime for mission-critical public services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in cloud systems engineering or DevOps.
- Proven expertise with AWS or Azure cloud environments, specifically government-cloud offerings.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and microservices.
- Experience with security-first architecture, including familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, or SOC2 compliance.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
