Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust, secure cloud-based infrastructures (AWS/Azure) for federal agency applications.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation to automate deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure strict compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Optimize cloud consumption and performance, identifying cost-saving strategies across complex multi-account environments.
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premise systems to hybrid cloud architectures.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on DevOps best practices and cloud-native application patterns.
- Manage incident response and root cause analysis for high-availability production environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering (AWS or Azure preferred).
- Proven expertise in IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline automation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI).
- Experience navigating government regulatory compliance (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53).
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and Docker.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
