Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available cloud-based architectures on AWS/Azure platforms.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Ensure 24/7 system reliability and performance through proactive monitoring and incident response.
- Lead migration projects transitioning legacy on-premises applications to hybrid cloud environments.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement Zero Trust architectures and ensure FedRAMP compliance.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on best practices for DevOps, CI/CD, and system scalability.
- Develop technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management.
- Proven expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Familiarity with government regulatory requirements (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
