Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain multi-region, high-availability cloud infrastructure on AWS GovCloud.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure environment reproducibility and consistency.
  • Lead the migration of legacy on-premises applications to modern, containerized cloud environments.
  • Enforce rigorous security protocols and compliance standards, including FISMA and NIST 800-53.
  • Design automated CI/CD pipelines to accelerate the delivery of secure public-facing services.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders to define cloud strategy and capacity planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, with a focus on AWS and large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies, specifically Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking fundamentals (VPC, DNS, Load Balancing) and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust security clearance.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, distributed systems under tight deadlines.
