We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and scale robust, secure, and mission-critical cloud environments. Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure on AWS GovCloud environments.
- Lead migration initiatives to move legacy on-premise systems to secure cloud architectures.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform and CloudFormation to automate provisioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robust security compliance (FedRAMP, NIST) into the CI/CD lifecycle.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex infrastructure bottlenecks, and optimize resource costs.
- Develop and document disaster recovery protocols to ensure 99.99% system uptime.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in cloud governance and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, specifically within highly regulated environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in AWS services, including IAM, VPC, EKS, RDS, and Lambda.
- Deep experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Strong background in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- In-depth knowledge of federal cybersecurity compliance standards (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
