Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain high-availability cloud infrastructure using AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
- Develop and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
- Collaborate with cross-functional cybersecurity teams to enforce FedRAMP compliance and Zero Trust security models.
- Lead migration initiatives from legacy on-premises data centers to cloud-native environments.
- Optimize cloud spending through rigorous monitoring, resource management, and automated scaling policies.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on best practices for cloud deployment and site reliability engineering (SRE).
- Coordinate incident response and disaster recovery drills to ensure 99.99% uptime for public-facing applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or DevOps.
- Proven expertise in AWS or Azure cloud platforms, with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation.
- Experience with containerization platforms including Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) and Docker.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions) in a regulated environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level federal security clearance.
