Responsibilities
- Design and maintain secure, multi-region cloud architecture in alignment with federal security frameworks (FedRAMP/NIST).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible.
- Lead the migration of legacy monolithic applications to containerized microservices on Kubernetes.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and incident response protocols for production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agency stakeholders to define technical requirements and system roadmaps.
- Mentor junior engineers on cloud-native best practices and secure coding methodologies.
- Continuously audit and optimize cloud resource utilization to ensure cost-efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and systems engineering (AWS or Azure preferred).
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Expertise in container orchestration platforms, specifically Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).
- Deep understanding of security compliance standards within the public sector (NIST, FISMA).
- Demonstrated experience in scripting with Python, Bash, or Go to automate repetitive tasks.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
