Responsibilities
- Design and maintain high-availability cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) compliant with FedRAMP standards.
- Lead the migration of legacy government applications to containerized, cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure environment consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional security teams to execute zero-trust architecture and automated compliance auditing.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical leadership on architectural design reviews.
- Monitor system performance and lead incident response efforts for mission-critical production services.
- Develop and document operational procedures for federal IT infrastructure maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design, deployment, and management.
- Deep expertise in AWS or Azure cloud services, including VPC, IAM, RDS, and EKS.
- Proven track record with container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity standards (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Federal Government Security Clearance.
