NexusScale Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our elite DevOps team in San Francisco. You will play a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and scaling our mission-critical distributed systems, ensuring 99.999% availability and peak performance for our global client base.

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
- Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment velocity and reliability.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi to manage cross-region environments.
- Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance and cloud resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional software teams to integrate security best practices (DevSecOps).
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-mortem analysis for service incidents.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in system architecture and automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) and container orchestration.
- Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Advanced knowledge of Linux internals and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing).
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Strong scripting capabilities in Python, Go, or Bash.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile software development environment.
