Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Kubernetes-based microservices architecture for multi-tenant scientific computing platform
- Optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS/GCP for 99.99% uptime and sub-200ms latency
- Lead migration of legacy HPC workloads to serverless architectures using AWS Lambda and GCP Cloud Functions
- Develop infrastructure-as-code pipelines with Terraform and Ansible for automated provisioning
- Implement advanced monitoring solutions using Prometheus/Grafana and ELK stack for real-time observability
- Mentor junior engineers on cloud-native best practices and security frameworks
- Collaborate with data science teams to optimize ML pipeline resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience (MS preferred)
- 5+ years production experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration
- Expert proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong background in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Experience with high-performance computing and distributed systems design
- Advanced knowledge of security frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001) and compliance requirements
- Relevant certifications (AWS/GCP/Azure Solutions Architect, CKA/CKAD) preferred
