Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Optimize cloud environments for performance, security, and cost-efficiency while maintaining 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Lead migration of legacy systems to cloud-native microservices architectures using Kubernetes and Docker
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for automated deployments
- Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance with SOC 2 and GDPR standards
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cloud engineering best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5+ years in cloud infrastructure
- Expert proficiency in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, RDS) or GCP (Compute Engine, GCS, Cloud Functions)
- Deep knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE) and infrastructure automation
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash for infrastructure automation
- Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Understanding of security best practices for cloud environments (IAM, VPC, WAF, encryption)
- Proven track record of optimizing cloud costs while maintaining performance
