Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS/GCP infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Lead migration projects from on-premises to cloud environments with zero-downtime requirements
- Optimize cloud costs through resource monitoring, auto-scaling, and architecture improvements
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar DevOps tooling
- Implement robust security frameworks including IAM policies, VPC design, and compliance auditing
- Provide 24/7 on-call support with proactive monitoring via Datadog/Prometheus
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer code reviews
- Document infrastructure blueprints and operational procedures
Qualifications
- 7+ years in cloud infrastructure with 4+ years in AWS/GCP
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS)
- CI/CD pipeline implementation and optimization
- Cloud security best practices (CIS benchmarks, compliance frameworks)
- Linux system administration at scale
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
