Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise-grade cloud environments (AWS/Azure) for mission-critical public services.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform to streamline deployments and ensure environment consistency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agency teams to migrate legacy on-premise systems to secure cloud architectures.
- Monitor system performance, perform security audits, and execute disaster recovery plans in alignment with state compliance standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on cloud best practices and automated operational workflows.
- Manage cloud budget and cost-optimization strategies to ensure fiscal responsibility of taxpayer resources.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure bottlenecks and implement proactive solutions to ensure 99.99% uptime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and systems administration.
- Expert-level proficiency in AWS or Azure ecosystem (EC2, VPC, Lambda, IAM, S3, or equivalent).
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Strong background in containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and orchestration at scale.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FISMA, or SOC2).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency status is required for background clearance.
