Nexus Scale Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our core architecture team in San Francisco. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining high-availability cloud environments that serve millions of users globally. Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain robust, scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi to ensure environment consistency.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment lifecycles.
- Proactively monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Drive security best practices across the development lifecycle, including IAM and network security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize cloud spend and resource efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and architectural reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Deep expertise in AWS or GCP services (EC2, EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python, Go, or Bash.
- Strong experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing) and security models.
- Proven ability to manage high-traffic production environments with a focus on uptime and reliability.
