You will play a pivotal role in designing federal-grade architectures that serve millions of citizens, ensuring compliance with stringent security mandates while championing cutting-edge DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement hybrid-cloud solutions (AWS/Azure) ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the migration of legacy mainframe applications to modernized containerized environments.
- Enforce rigorous security standards including FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53 compliance.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure costs through automated resource management and usage analytics.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) patterns using Terraform to standardize deployment pipelines.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on best practices for cloud-native development and site reliability engineering (SRE).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technical strategy with long-term public service goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in systems architecture, with at least 3 years in a government or regulated sector.
- Expertise in AWS or Azure cloud platforms; professional certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Pro) preferred.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience with zero-trust security models and identity access management.
- Strong grasp of federal compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
