Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available, secure multi-cloud architectures (AWS/Azure) for government operations.
- Lead the modernization of legacy on-premises infrastructure to cloud-native platforms.
- Ensure strict compliance with FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP security frameworks.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with agency strategic objectives.
- Establish robust disaster recovery protocols and ensure 99.99% system availability.
- Lead cloud migration strategies while minimizing service disruption for critical public portals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or systems administration.
- Advanced certification in AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Proven track record of managing cloud security in highly regulated or government environments.
- Expertise in containerization (Kubernetes/Docker) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab).
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity mandates and data privacy standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level government security clearance.
