Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Lead the migration of legacy, mission-critical applications to modernized cloud-native architectures.
  • Ensure 24/7 system availability, reliability, and performance through proactive monitoring and automated remediation.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to implement FedRAMP and NIST compliance controls across all environments.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior DevOps engineers and lead internal cloud adoption workshops.
  • Drive continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) excellence to streamline government software delivery lifecycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or DevOps roles.
  • Advanced certification in AWS (Solutions Architect Professional) or Azure (Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects within the public sector or highly regulated environments.
  • Deep expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS) and serverless technologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal information security regulations (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53).
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to meet federal security clearance eligibility.
