In this high-impact role, you will define the roadmap for government-wide digital transformation, ensuring compliance with federal security standards while driving architectural innovation that directly impacts public service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement robust, secure hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS GovCloud and Azure Government.
- Lead the modernization of legacy enterprise applications through containerization and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration of digital services.
- Implement advanced security protocols and DevSecOps best practices to maintain FedRAMP compliance.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior engineering teams on cloud-native methodologies.
- Manage cloud capacity planning, cost optimization, and performance monitoring for mission-critical workloads.
- Lead technical documentation and architectural governance for multi-departmental technology initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in enterprise cloud architecture and systems engineering.
- Deep expertise in AWS or Azure government cloud environments.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects within the public sector or highly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level government security clearance.
