Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure multi-cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
- Lead the migration of legacy monolith applications into containerized microservices using Kubernetes.
- Define and enforce enterprise-wide cloud governance, security policies, and cost-optimization frameworks.
- Collaborate with inter-agency stakeholders to align technical strategy with federal compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead architectural design reviews for high-impact mission systems.
- Develop automation workflows for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
- Maintain 99.99% system availability through robust disaster recovery and site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or systems operations.
- Current certification in AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale cloud deployments within a government or highly regulated industry.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and DevSecOps best practices.
- Deep understanding of federal cybersecurity standards (NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
