Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and manage secure cloud-based infrastructures (AWS/Azure) within a government framework.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the migration of legacy on-premises applications to cloud-native environments.
- Establish rigorous security protocols, ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and NIST guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize infrastructure costs and operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers on best practices for DevOps, automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
- Conduct regular performance audits to identify bottlenecks and ensure system scalability.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans to maintain mission-critical operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture and large-scale enterprise systems.
- Expert-level proficiency with AWS or Azure services, including EC2, Lambda, RDS, and Kubernetes.
- Proven track record of managing high-availability environments with strict security requirements.
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity compliance standards (FedRAMP, FISMA).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
