Responsibilities
- Architect and implement hybrid-cloud solutions (AWS/Azure) to support large-scale government applications.
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premise systems to secure cloud environments.
- Establish infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards and best practices using Terraform and Ansible.
- Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA security frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional agency teams to optimize operational performance and cloud spend.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on cloud-native methodologies and DevSecOps principles.
- Drive incident response and continuous improvement processes for high-availability systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, system architecture, or site reliability engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience navigating federal security compliance requirements (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a high-level government security clearance.
