Responsibilities
- Architect and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud solutions (AWS/Azure) within a government compliance framework (FedRAMP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional agency teams to migrate legacy on-premise applications to modern microservices architectures.
- Develop and enforce infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards using Terraform and Ansible to ensure consistent deployment environments.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for site reliability, performance monitoring, and incident response protocols.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior systems engineers and cloud administrators.
- Ensure all systems maintain rigorous security standards and compliance with federal IT policies and NIST frameworks.
- Optimize cloud consumption costs through comprehensive resource management and automated scaling strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, systems engineering, or DevOps.
- Demonstrated expertise with AWS or Azure enterprise-level deployments and management.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Deep understanding of security protocols, including IAM, encryption standards, and zero-trust architecture.
- Experience working within public sector or highly regulated industries is preferred.
- Professional certification (AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert) is highly desired.
