Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of highly available, scalable, and secure cloud architectures across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Define and advocate for best practices in cloud architecture, security, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust cloud solutions.
- Conduct architectural reviews, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to architectural standards and principles.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, runbooks, and strategy papers.
- Evaluate new cloud technologies and and services, recommending solutions that enhance our infrastructure and drive innovation.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the stability and performance of cloud systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years specifically in cloud architecture roles.
- Proven expertise in architecting and deploying solutions on at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), with relevant professional certifications.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), and data governance.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
- Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement cost-effective, high-performance, and resilient cloud solutions.
