Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret complex clinical laboratory tests, including hematology, chemistry, immunology, and microbiology, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ensure strict adherence to CLIA, CAP, and OSHA regulatory standards and quality control protocols.
- Analyze and report patient results in a timely manner, collaborating with physicians and clinicians for critical results.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Mentor and train junior laboratory staff and students to foster a culture of excellence.
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance audits and proficiency testing programs.
Qualifications
- ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or AMT certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or a Life Science (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and laboratory automation.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
