Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize EHR systems to enhance clinical workflows and data accuracy
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to translate clinical requirements into technical specifications
- Lead system testing, validation, and training for clinical staff across 5+ departments
- Analyze healthcare data to identify improvement opportunities and support evidence-based decision making
- Ensure HIPAA/GDPR compliance for all clinical informatics processes
- Develop clinical decision support tools and quality improvement dashboards
- Mentor junior informatics specialists and coordinate cross-functional project teams
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, or related healthcare field
- 5+ years of hands-on EHR implementation experience (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or CPHIMS credentials required
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows in acute care settings
- Advanced SQL and data visualization skills (Tableau/Power BI)
- Strong project management background with PMP certification
- Demonstrated success in healthcare data analytics and reporting
- Experience with interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7)
