Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of EHR systems, ensuring seamless integration with clinical workflows.
- Collaborate with IT and clinical leadership to design data-driven solutions that enhance patient care quality.
- Monitor system performance and data integrity to ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for medical staff on new software updates and best practices.
- Analyze complex healthcare data to generate reports that inform strategic decision-making and process improvements.
- Act as the subject matter expert for clinical applications, troubleshooting issues and managing user support tickets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related medical field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience combined with 2+ years of experience in health informatics or clinical documentation improvement.
- Proficiency with major EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Certification as a Clinical Informatics Specialist (CCIS) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is a plus.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy laws.
