Responsibilities
- Design and implement clinical informatics solutions to enhance EHR functionality and clinician workflows
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and IT teams to translate clinical requirements into technical specifications
- Lead system testing, validation, and optimization of clinical decision support tools
- Develop training materials and provide end-user education for new healthcare technologies
- Analyze clinical data to identify improvement opportunities and inform system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HL7, and healthcare industry standards
- Mentor junior informatics specialists and participate in cross-departmental innovation projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, or related healthcare field
- 5+ years of clinical informatics experience in hospital/health system setting
- Certified Health Informatics Systems Professional (CHISP) or equivalent certification
- Expertise in Epic EHR implementation and optimization (specifically within cardiology or oncology)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex clinical needs into technical solutions
- Experience with healthcare data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional healthcare technology projects
- Active state RN license or relevant clinical certification preferred
