Responsibilities
- Design and implement EHR optimization strategies for clinical departments across 15+ hospital locations
- Lead cross-functional teams of clinicians, data scientists, and IT specialists to develop clinical decision support tools
- Analyze complex healthcare data to identify process improvement opportunities and drive evidence-based practice changes
- Train and mentor clinical staff on new informatics solutions and digital health workflows
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR standards across all clinical data systems
- Collaborate with research teams to develop clinical data repositories for population health analytics
- Lead vendor evaluations and implementation of new clinical informatics technologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, or related clinical field
- 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics within large healthcare systems
- Certification in Clinical Informatics (CC) or Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CHCIO)
- Expertise in Epic EHR systems with deep knowledge of clinical modules
- Strong data analytics skills with experience in SQL, Python, and healthcare data visualization tools
- Proven track record of leading successful clinical technology implementations
- Demonstrated ability to translate clinical needs into technical requirements
- Experience with FDA-regulated clinical software development lifecycle
