Responsibilities
- Lead EHR optimization initiatives for clinical departments, ensuring seamless integration with patient care workflows
- Design and implement clinical decision support systems to enhance care quality and safety
- Analyze healthcare data to identify improvement opportunities and drive evidence-based practice changes
- Provide expert guidance on health information standards (HL7, FHIR) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Meaningful Use)
- Train and mentor clinical staff on health information systems and data utilization
- Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to develop innovative health technology solutions
- Represent informatics initiatives at cross-functional committees and leadership forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of clinical informatics experience in acute care or ambulatory settings
- Certified Health Informatics Manager (CHIM) or equivalent certification required
- Expertise in Epic EHR systems, particularly within clinical modules
- Strong analytical skills with experience in healthcare data analytics platforms
- Demonstrated success in leading complex health IT projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for clinical stakeholders
- Experience with healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks
