Role Overview:
As a Senior Clinical Data Analyst, you will own the integrity of our clinical datasets, perform complex statistical analyses, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives. You will be the gatekeeper of data quality, ensuring that our reporting meets both regulatory standards and clinical needs.
Responsibilities
- Data Management: Design, implement, and maintain data models for clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Analytics & Reporting: Utilize SQL and Python to extract, clean, and analyze large-scale datasets; generate executive dashboards using Tableau.
- Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to HIPAA regulations and internal governance policies.
- Collaboration: Partner with clinical staff and IT professionals to identify data gaps and improve system workflows.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data processes.
- Project Leadership: Lead data migration projects and support the implementation of new EHR modules.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Biostatistics, Nursing, or a related scientific field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical data analysis, health informatics, or a similar analytical role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (Advanced), Python/R for data manipulation, and experience with EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts).
- Tools: Strong working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and statistical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of HIPAA, HITECH Act, and clinical quality measures (e.g., HEDIS).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
