Apex Health Systems is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Clinical Data Analyst to join our growing team in San Francisco. Responsibilities
- Lead Data Governance: Develop and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all EHR systems.
- Advanced Analytics: Design and execute complex SQL queries and data mining scripts to extract insights from large, unstructured datasets.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all data handling practices strictly adhere to HIPAA regulations and internal compliance standards.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Create compelling, interactive dashboards (Tableau/PowerBI) for executive leadership and clinical teams to track KPIs and performance metrics.
- Process Improvement: Identify trends and inefficiencies in clinical workflows through data analysis and propose data-driven solutions.
- Collaboration: Partner with IT, clinical staff, and operations teams to define data requirements and system architecture.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in clinical data analysis, healthcare informatics, or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle), Python, and visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of clinical workflows, medical terminology, and EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into non-technical business insights.
- Compliance: Strong working knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy laws.
