Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Lead project teams through all phases: planning, design, and construction supervision
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards (TxDOT, FEMA, etc.)
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and construction documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated experience with TxDOT standards and permitting processes
- Strong project management and client communication skills
- LEED AP certification preferred
