Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgeries.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior surgical residents and clinical staff.
- Develop and implement evidence-based surgical protocols to improve patient outcomes.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and ensure comprehensive post-operative care plans.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiologists to determine optimal patient treatment pathways.
- Contribute to institutional research initiatives and participate in academic conferences.
- Maintain impeccable surgical standards in compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in high-volume cardiac surgery centers.
- Proficiency in robotic-assisted surgical systems (Da Vinci experience preferred).
- Demonstrated record of high-quality surgical outcomes and clinical research.
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
