Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Manage patient treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons and cardiologists.
- Perform bedside procedures including thoracentesis, central line placement, and arterial line monitoring.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Monitor patient progress, interpret EKG/stress test results, and adjust therapeutic interventions accordingly.
- Maintain precise electronic medical records ensuring compliance with all clinical standards.
- Mentor junior clinical staff and participate in department quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Board Certification in Acute Care or Family Practice (ACNP-BC preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a cardiovascular or ICU setting.
- Strong proficiency in interpreting complex hemodynamic data and cardiac rhythm analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to function effectively in high-pressure clinical environments.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
