Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and diagnostic evaluations for diverse patient populations.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, and radiologists.
- Interpret diagnostic tests, including EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
- Provide patient and family education regarding cardiac disease management and preventative lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical standards.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and departmental quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Board certification as an ACNP or FNP with a focus on cardiology.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a cardiovascular or critical care setting.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; CCRN is highly preferred.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure medical environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering empathetic, high-quality patient care.
