As a key member of our practice, you will collaborate with world-renowned cardiologists to manage complex patient care, optimize treatment plans, and enhance clinical outcomes in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiac assessments and physical examinations for patients with acute and chronic heart conditions.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Interpret diagnostic tests including EKG, echocardiograms, and stress tests to guide clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiothoracic surgeons, electrophysiologists, and dietitians.
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Manage post-operative care and transitions for patients following complex cardiac procedures.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with precision and timeliness.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with cardiac experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a cardiovascular or critical care unit.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are strictly required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex medical information to diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in Epic or similar major Electronic Health Record systems.
