We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Cardiac Nurse Practitioner to provide expert, evidence-based care to patients with complex heart conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and diagnostic evaluations for cardiac patients.
- Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Interpret EKG, stress tests, and laboratory data to inform clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiothoracic surgeons, perfusionists, and dietitians.
- Provide patient and family education regarding heart health, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Assist in the coordination of cardiac procedures and post-operative follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records in compliance with hospital standards.
Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in good standing.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Board Certification in Acute Care or Family Practice.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a cardiac, ICU, or step-down unit.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong diagnostic, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with modern EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
