Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cardiac physical examinations and health assessments.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic heart conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and electrophysiologists to optimize patient care pathways.
- Interpret diagnostic tests including EKG, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests.
- Provide patient and family education regarding cardiac procedures, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
- Manage post-operative care and follow-up for patients recovering from cardiac interventions.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with HIPAA and institutional standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a cardiovascular or critical care setting.
- Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with cardiac specialty.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
- Exceptional diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably Epic.
