We're seeking a visionary Senior Architectural Designer to lead high-profile commercial and mixed-use projects that redefine skylines and communities. You'll collaborate with industry leaders on sustainable, context-sensitive designs while mentoring emerging talent in a collaborative studio environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from conceptual design through construction administration
- Develop and refine architectural drawings, specifications, and BIM models using Revit
- Coordinate MEP, structural, and landscape design integration through all project phases
- Ensure compliance with ICC, ADA, and Chicago Building Code requirements
- Manage client relationships and project timelines while maintaining budget integrity
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new development opportunities
- Mentor junior designers and interns in design execution and professional practice
Qualifications
- Professional Architecture License (Illinois or ability to obtain reciprocity)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial/mixed-use architecture
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Portfolio demonstrating complex project delivery and design innovation
- LEED AP BD+C certification strongly preferred
- Proven experience with Chicago zoning ordinances and permitting processes
- Exceptional visualization skills including rendering and physical model-making
