Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual design and architectural development of complex residential and commercial projects from inception through to construction documentation.
- Manage relationships with clients, ensuring their vision is translated into reality while adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
- Oversee the technical production of high-quality drawings and 3D visualizations using Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, manage contractors, and resolve on-site technical issues.
- Mentor junior staff and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Ensure all designs strictly comply with UK Building Regulations, planning permissions, and sustainability standards (BREEAM/Passivhaus).
- Present design concepts and progress updates to stakeholders and planning authorities with confidence.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (RIBA Part 2 or Part 3 qualified is highly desirable).
- Proven experience working in a professional UK architectural practice, with a portfolio showcasing residential and commercial projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Rhino.
- Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design ideas to clients and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
- Membership of the RIBA or ARB is required.
