Responsibilities
- Lead design development and construction documentation for mixed-use and commercial projects
- Manage client relationships and project budgets up to $25M
- Coordinate with structural engineers and MEP consultants
- Revise designs based on code compliance and client feedback
- Mentor junior architects through portfolio reviews and skill-building workshops
- Present design concepts to municipal planning committees
- Implement BIM workflows using Revit and Rhino
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited program
- 8+ years of experience with commercial/residential projects
- LEED AP BD+C certification required
- Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Illinois architectural license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ completed projects over $10M
- Experience leading design charrettes and client workshops
- Knowledge of Chicago zoning ordinances and building codes
