Responsibilities
- Lead design development and documentation for mixed-use and commercial projects
- Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure structural integrity and code compliance
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications
- Mentor junior architects and foster collaborative design workshops
- Integrate sustainable design principles (LEED/BREEAM) across all phases
- Develop presentation materials for client pitches and regulatory approvals
- Research emerging materials and construction technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Architecture from NAAB-accredited program
- 10+ years experience with large-scale commercial projects
- Registered Architect license (IL required)
- Expert proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Portfolio demonstrating complex facade systems and spatial innovation
- Strong knowledge of IBC and local Chicago zoning ordinances
- LEED AP BD+C certification preferred
- Experience leading design charrettes and client workshops
