Responsibilities
- Lead design development and documentation for complex commercial and mixed-use projects
- Coordinate with engineering, interior design, and sustainability consultants
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and client relationships
- Ensure compliance with Chicago building codes and accessibility standards
- Develop and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Mentor junior architects through design reviews and technical guidance
- Research and integrate sustainable design strategies and materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in architectural design
- Illinois architectural license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong portfolio demonstrating diverse project types and design excellence
- Experience with BIM coordination and construction administration
- Deep knowledge of sustainable design principles and LEED certification
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
