Responsibilities
- Lead design development and construction documentation for mixed-use and commercial projects
- Manage client relationships and project timelines from concept to completion
- Mentor junior architects and coordinate with engineering consultants
- Ensure compliance with building codes and ADA requirements
- Present design concepts to clients and municipal review boards
- Implement sustainable design principles and LEED certification strategies
- Oversee BIM modeling and construction administration phases
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture from accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial architecture
- Registered Architect license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Proven track record of managing projects $10M+
- Strong portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions
- Experience with urban infill and adaptive reuse projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
