Responsibilities
- Lead design development from conceptual sketches to construction documentation using Revit and BIM technologies
- Manage client relationships and project teams while ensuring compliance with ADA, LEED, and local building codes
- Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and contractors to resolve technical challenges
- Present design concepts to municipal planning boards and community stakeholders
- Mentor junior architects and interns through design reviews and professional development
- Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for mixed-use and commercial developments
- Research innovative materials and construction methods to enhance project sustainability
Qualifications
- Professional Architecture License (RA) in Illinois or ability to obtain immediately
- 8+ years of experience in commercial/residential architecture with complex project delivery
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Proven portfolio showcasing large-scale urban projects and sustainability integration
- Strong understanding of Chicago zoning ordinances and permitting processes
- LEED AP BD+C certification preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and client communication skills
- Experience managing projects over $50M in construction value
