Responsibilities
- Lead design development and documentation for commercial and mixed-use projects over $50M
- Coordinate MEP, structural, and sustainability consultants during all project phases
- Manage client relationships and project teams through design approvals and construction
- Develop innovative solutions for complex architectural challenges using BIM technology
- Mentor junior architects and interns through design reviews and technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with NYC Building Code and ADA accessibility requirements
- Present design concepts to clients, municipalities, and review boards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture from accredited institution
- 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial architecture
- Registered Architect license (NY State or ability to obtain reciprocity)
- Expert proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite
- LEED AP BD+C certification strongly preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ completed landmark projects
- Proven track record of managing projects from schematic to closeout
- Strong understanding of NYC zoning regulations and construction methodologies
