Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of deep learning architectures for genomic sequence analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with wet-lab biologists to validate computational predictions.
- Optimize algorithms for high-performance computing (HPC) environments to handle massive datasets.
- Publish original research findings in top-tier scientific journals and conferences.
- Guide and mentor junior researchers and PhD students in best practices for machine learning in science.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, bioinformatics, and quantum computing.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research roles within the biotech or AI industry.
- Expert proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and R.
- Strong background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Graph Neural Networks (GNNs).
- Experience deploying models on cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
